Jet-setting Dina

Hi and welcome to Jet-Setting Dina! I am so excited that you are here and I hope this blog will help you find some inspiration as I share my life through fashion, travel, food, and everything in between.

When it comes to fashion, I would describe my style as timeless, classic, romantic, and elegant but am not afraid to step out of the box and mix it up! I think it is important to have quality over quantity and often would re-wear pieces, even years later. Much of my wardrobe is black (thanks retail) and this has become a big part of my style and a closet staple. I also love bows, unique shapes and silhouettes. I hope that by sharing my style through my blog, I can inspire you in some way and provide you with a creative spark for your own closet.

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

Meet Dina

I grew up surrounded by fashion as a little girl; my grandpa was a cobbler and both my grandmother and mom were seamstresses. There were always fabric scraps and sewing patterns around the house that my grandmother would use to create her next piece while at work on her sewing machine. It wasn’t until middle school that I became truly fascinated by fashion and interiors. I remember keeping a composition notebook with glued-on magazine cutouts of clothing and decor I liked (pre-Pinterest era). To feed that interest further, I worked in retail for most of my career and learned the ins and outs of the retail industry.

I pursued fashion merchandising in college, but changed my major to teaching at the last minute with hopes of becoming a guidance counselor. After graduation, I realized that I did not want to pursue a master’s degree, or teach, and would only go back to school if it was for something creative. So, I enrolled in an interior design program and began working for an interior design company. I enjoyed my time there and have grown to love interiors as much as fashion. You can say I have been well versed in both fields and still enjoy both equally today.

Currently, I reside in the Atlanta suburbs with my husband, Scott, our son, Roman, and two cats: François and Mishka. When I’m not working on my blog, you can find me at a coffee shop, shopping, the gym, doing a DIY project, or purchasing peonies from a local grocery store.

Thanks for being here and reading along!
